Hospice of Randolph County Re-Accredited

February 8, 2008

Asheboro, NC  –  Hospice of Randolph County proudly announces its award of accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) for the services of Hospice and Home Health Care.

ACHC, a private, not-for-profit corporation which is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards, was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care.  Referring to the value of accreditation, ACHC President Tom Cesar indicated, “The survey process leads an organization to examine its policies and practices continually to clarify its strengths and improve its weaknesses.”

Accreditation is a voluntary activity where healthcare organizations submit to peer review of their internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards.  By attaining accreditation, Hospice of Randolph County has demonstrated its commitment to maintain a higher level of competency and strive for excellence it its products, services and customer satisfaction.

"Accreditation is an integral part of providing quality health care,” commented Rhonda L. Burch, MA, MBA, Hospice of Randolph County President & CEO. “By allowing the surveyors to meticulously examine our business operations we ensure that our organization provides the best care possible.”

Hospice of Randolph County is a non-profit hospice agency that has been serving the county since 1983. The organization is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2008. For more information on the accreditation process, please visit www.achc.org.
