At Hospice of Randolph County, we LOVE volunteers!
Hospice volunteers are very special people. In different ways, each touches the lives of patients and families. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the volunteer opportunities that are currently available!
- Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients receiving hospice care. This involves activities such as visiting, sitting and talking, reading and/or watching a favorite TV show with a hospice patient. Volunteer visits usually last about one hour and provide such encouragement to our hospice patients as well as provide caregivers with a short break from caregiving.
- Clerical Volunteers provide administrative support to our organization by assisting with tasks including filing paperwork, creating admission notebooks, assisting with mailings, copying papers and answering phones.
- Special Event Volunteers are involved in our fundraising efforts throughout the year. Our largest fundraising opportunity of the year is our annual Hospice Auction & BBQ that occurs on the first Saturday of each November. We welcome volunteers to assist us with event planning, on-site setup and clean up.
