Volunteer Training for Adult Volunteers on Nov. 30Posted on Nov 6th, 2018 | Perma Link
If you are looking for a way to make a difference in someone’s life and give back to our community, we have the perfect opportunity! We currently have needs for both clerical and patient volunteers.
Clerical volunteers assist our office with administrative tasks such as filing documents, preparing bereavement mailings and making admission notebooks. Patient volunteers provide companionship to hospice patients at their home, in local skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, or at the Randolph Hospice House. These volunteers spend time sitting with patients, reading to them or even watching a favorite TV show together.
Those interested in volunteering in one of these areas are required to attend a special one-day training event on Friday, November 30, in order to learn more about our organization and the valuable role of volunteers. The training session will be from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at our Administrative Office located at 416 Vision Drive in Asheboro. Lunch, as well as materials, will be provided free of charge.
Pre-registration is required by November 23. To pre-register and schedule an interview with Dawn Stone or Lisa Huffman, please call 336-672-9300.
If you would like to volunteer but are not available on that date, please call us and we can set up an additional training opportunity!
