Grief Support Services

Individual & Group Support

Our trained bereavement team members can provide emotional support to children during a series of one-on-one sessions at our office or during a group support session. In addition, our team members can provide encouragement, guidance and valuable strategies for parents, grandparents and guardians of children that are experiencing grief by phone or during a scheduled meeting at our office.

Support at School

Kids Path® offers support designed to meet the needs of schools with students that have experienced grief and need coping skills to help them process their loss in a healthy way. Along with school counselors, we work together with parents/guardians to provide a safe environment for the expression of feelings and help students learn to move forward despite their loss.

Grief Camp Opportunities

Caterpillar's Quest Bereavement Camp for Children

Kids Path® also offers an annual grief day-camp for children, grades K-6, called Caterpillar's Quest.  This camp experience is designed to assist children in coping with the death of a loved one.  The camp includes a variety of recreational activities such as a zip-line, canoeing, ropes courses, wall-climbing and more.  In addition to these activities, campers will be given the opportunity to share their feelings through art, drama and group discussions.  Camp culminates with a memorial service at the end of the day.

SOAR Teen Bereavement Camp

Our first ever SOAR Teen Bereavement Camp took place on October 14, 2017, and we look forward to our 2nd Annual SOAR Camp in 2018!  This event is specifically designed for teens, grades 7-12.  Any teen who has experienced the loss of a loved one is invited to attend.  Participants learn ways to cope with grief and loss while making new friends and experiencing the excitement of Victory Junction.
