Summer Series: Grief & Wellness

In the midst of grief, the act of caring for ourselves often gets put on the backburner. Whether this is due to profound sadness, a lack of motivation or energy, or the existential question of “What’s the point?”, this self-neglect leaves bereaved individuals feeling even worse.

This summer, the Grief Counseling Center will host a special series of programs exploring how wellness can be possible while navigating grief. Through the exploration of the different aspects of wellness – emotional, mental, physical, social, spiritual – our counselors will guide participants through self-care strategies that can help shift their mindset from actively surviving to actively living again.

“Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits daily to attain better physical and mental health outcomes.” – Chris Cummings, CEO of Wellbeing at Work

Each session is offered to anyone in the community at no cost. Space is limited and registration is required for each individual session. Community members are invited to attend as many sessions of the Summer Series as desired. For more information or to register for a session, click on the session links below.
