The E-Series: Financial Considerations for Caregivers – Giving Permission, Fraud Prevention & Future Planning

In this episode, Trent Cockerham, CEO of Hospice of the Piedmont, welcomes back Mark Hensley, Executive Director for Randolph Senior Adults Association (RSAA). Mark joined RSAA with more than 35 years of experience in the banking industry, leading to a personal passion for equipping seniors and caregivers with important financial skills. Together, Trent and Mark will expose some of the financial scams targeting the aging population, talk through financial considerations that impact caregivers, and discuss practical strategies for having meaningful financial conversations with family members before a healthcare crisis.

Guest Bio: Mark Hensley is a native of Marion, NC. He received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Executive Program. Mark retired from a 38-year career in banking in 2018. During his banking career, he spent more than 20 years with Wachovia Bank and 17+ years in Asheboro with First National/CommunityOne/Capital Bank as an Executive Vice President. Two months after retirement, Mark started his new career as the Executive Director of Randolph Senior Adults Association.
