Together, Trent and Dr. Eifert inspire a mental shift by exploring the duality of caregiving and how to balance challenging moments by giving equal attention to the positive aspects of this meaningful role.

Guest Bio: Dr. Elise Eifert is an Assistant Professor and Graduate Coordinator for the Gerontology program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Before that, she was an Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.  She graduated in 2014 from UNCG with a Ph.D. in Public Health Education and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Gerontology. She has her MS in Health Promotion from Indiana University at Bloomington. Her BS is in Health Education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Dr. Eifert is a gerontology and health promotion scholar with over 15 years of experience working and conducting research with family caregivers.  She is a Certified Health Education Specialist. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, listening to live music, and fostering dogs with her husband, Reed.
