How you can help

Learn more about how you can help support Hospice of the Piedmont and Hospice of Randolph during the COVID-19 crisis.

Apr 8, 2020

During this time of uncertainty, many are looking for opportunities to give back and help in the best way possible.  As it has been for many other healthcare organizations, access to personal protective equipment (PPE), especially N-95 masks, has been challenging.  In response, we have been innovative and thoughtful about how we address these challenges. Read more about our organizational response to the COVID-19.

Hospice of the Piedmont and Hospice of Randolph are grateful to those in our community who have donated handmade face masks for our staff.   As the crisis continues, our organization’s top priorities remain the health and safety of our patients, their families, our team members, and the communities we serve.

Handmade mask information

Tests have shown that “the best-performing design was constructed of two layers of high-quality, heavyweight ‘quilter’s cotton’ with a thread count of 180 or more, and those with especially tight weave and thicker thread such as batiks.”

A variety of patterns are available online including instructions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Your gifts help us in our efforts.

If you are interested in donating PPE, including face masks – N-95 or handmade – or hand sanitizer, please contact our office in High Point at 336.889.8446 or in Asheboro at 336.672.9300.
